Getting Started
  • Gather notes, photos or articles with design ideas that you like and place them into a scrapbook or folder.
  • Get together with your family and ask them for their input and wish lists
  • Decide how much you would like to invest in your new kitchen or bathroom.
  • Draw a rough sketch of your floor plan and take measurements. We can do this for you if you like, but then the first meeting will take place in your home instead of our showroom.
  • It is a good idea to review our kitchen or bath planning questionnaire or even fill it out before meeting with us. It will give us the information we need to know for the first meeting.
  • Call us to make an appointment.

Visiting our Showroom

  • We'll start by answering any questions you may have and getting to know you better. A good relationship is critical to the project's success.
  • This first meeting is the best time to gather information about your home and lifestyle. Please plan for about two hours: The more facts we have, the better design we can create.
  • Bring in your folder of ideas (if you have one) as well as your completed planning questionnaire.
  • If you bring measurements with you, we can start sketching right away.
  • We will provide you with a basic floor plan and ballpark estimate for free.

Design Development

  • To further continue our work, at this point we require a design retainer fee. The fee typically constitutes 10 percent of the estimated cost of your cabinetry.
  • The KitchenWright will work with you to refine the design and budget until you are 100 percent satisfied. Perspectives, elevations and a floor plan ensure that you will understand exactly how the completed project will look.
  • Once agreement has been reached, we will ask you to sign a contract to proceed to construction. Then we will order your cabinets and countertops.

The Installation Process

  • Depending on the scope of your project, we will recommend quality remodelers or contractors as necessary.
  • We will handle installation of cabinetry and countertops.
  • To ensure quality construction, we will meet the contractors at your home to discuss the details of your plan.
  • If you so desire, we will act as your project manager and coordinate scheduling and other details.
